A lot of power in a small solid package plus you get a built in flashlight as a bonus. The first thing I noticed is that it seems to charge my BlackBerry Torch 9860 faster than the OEM system. I've only had the Astro a few days and haven't run the Torch down to under 50%, but it really did bring it back up to 100% in a fairly short time. I've used it on my Sansa MP3 player and it also juiced it up to full charge in a short time. You do need to use the furnished cables and adapters for the BlackBerry though because the charge rate is higher than the OEM cable can take. I usually carry extra batteries for my phone when traveling, but this will be a lot simpler. The device fits handily in your pocket or purse and luckily for BlackBerry folk the mini USB plug works to charge the Astro as well as to boost the BlackBerry so you don't have to carry as many bits and pieces around.

Received the item quickly via Amazon's 2 day shipping. Unfortunately the product did not work. I charged it overnight then tried multiple times to charge several different phones with it. It would charge for about 15 to 20 seconds then turn off. Contacted Laptopmate as they request in the package.
I did receive a prompt reply from them, but their solution was to return it (from Pa to California) with a priority mail label they supplied. They would then send me another one after they received the return. Unfortunately the anticipated turn around time is not acceptable after I used 2 day shipping to get the original item...will just return to Amazon.
Quality control appears to be lacking...a shame as this looked like a great item.
I will update when I receive my replacement. Hope it works

I like the style and the function of this product. Reasonable price from the seller. However, the product is defective. Just like one of user review, I charge the battery fully. When I turn on the power or plug in to my device,the battery keeps shut off by itself within 10-15 seconds. Try 10 times, it stills not working. Just request to return the item.

Just one day after I posted the review about the defective. The seller contacted me and we discussed the problem. 10 days later, I receive the replacement. Very good customer relationship! Very good about the follow up service! The replacement is working perfect. Now I have a chance to talk about this product. Excellent external battery pack for any 4G phone! 4G really kills the battery fast. Anker Astro 5600Ah External Battery Pack can let me surf the internet and watch the video in the whole day long. I don't need to keep switch the 4G to 3G and 3G to 4G. Sometimes I don't understand why we need to give up the 4G just for saving the battery life. I will highly recommend this product for Motorola Droid Razr and any 4G phone. Now I can really enjoy 4G without keeping my eyes on the battery level. Thanks again to this seller!
